Dolfirama in Zandvoort, Holland was opened in April 1969 at the cost of 2 million guilders. At it time it was one of the largest dolphinarium in Europe with the main pool containing over one million liters of salt water and off show holding areas for both dolphins and sea-lions. The building remains today but closed as a dolphinarium in 1988.
