John
Dineley - DJ Services
DJING:
John
began his djing career at the age of seventeen whilst working in holiday
complex training and presenting sea-lion and dolphin shows and continued
to dj from that point on. During this time I have worked with promoters
such as the late Colin Peters (Bang!, Propaganda) and Richard "Tricky-Dicky"
Scanes (club promoter and former owner of Trax Records in Soho) and
bars such as The LA at 333 Old Street. In 2008 he djed on rotation with
DJs Lisa German, Danny Dove, Alex Cellar and Gordon John at the night
'Back To Hours' at London's Smollensky's
on The Stand.
In
2010 John also produced and mixed a weekly two hours 'House Arouse'
music show for Pure Radio FM until it ceased operation in August 2010
- an example of the shows broadcasted can be found HERE.
INFLUENCES:
Synth-pop and euro-disco were strong influences during his early
days of djing. The other major influence has to be vocal disco from
people such as the late Sharon Redd which led on to his love of vocal
house which he started playing in clubs such as 'Propaganda' when the
"house" dance music style emerged in the 80s.
STYLE:
Progressive, Lounge and Up-Lifting House, Nu-Disco and Electronica.

in and around Soho and the Greater London. Cooperate booking such as:
Sketch Gallery, Stanza and residencies at Vault 139, the Alphabet Group
Bars and The Friendly Society.
